That season, Trout earned his first MVP award in an All-Star game. That contract was amended to a six-year deal worth $144.5 million. In 2014, Trout signed a one year contract worth $1 million. His impressive play earned him a place in the 2013 Major League Baseball All-Star Game. In the 2013/14 season, Trout began playing in the left-field position but moved back to centre field that season. He also added to his collections: the Heart and Hustle Award, the Silver Slugger and Fielding Bible Award. At the end of the season, Trout was awarded the Rookie of the Year Award unanimously. He earned the Rookie of the Month Award four times in a season, the first man to do so since 2001. He also earned American League Player of the Month and the American League Rookie of the Month. Trout was also selected to his first All-Star game. On July 22, Trout set a new Angel franchise and American League rookie record when he recorded cross plates in 14 successive games. Trout increased momentum and earned his second and third career four-hit game in June 2012.
